Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for claims adjudication of group life and/or disability claims, which includes claims submitted under life, long term disability, and short term disability product lines. Oversees the technical review/risk management of claims, reinsurance reporting, and internal financial/reserve reporting. Participates in the coordination of activities between three claims offices to effectively integrate the risk management of all product lines.
Job Requirements:
The selected candidate will meet the following criteria: 1) Requires a Bachelor's degree in business or related field of study; 2) Requires three years of life and long/short term disability claims adjudication background including two years related supervisory experience in claims environment; 3) Math and commutation skills with the ability to independently make liability decisions on the basis of facts and objective medical data; 4) Knowledge of corporate systems including automated billing, claims, group policy administration and financial systems
Preferred Job Requirements:
FLMI, ICA, and/or HIA insurance designations
