Description:
To provide daily customer service to members, to underwrite renewal business within authority and to assist the underwriters on new and renewal business.
Duties/Responsibilities:
ć Respond to member inquiries by email, phone or mail.
ć Prepare renewal book of business. Includes all business for assigned team..
ć Interact with brokers and/or members to receive all additional information needed for renewal underwriting.
ć Underwrite renewal book of business, as assigned.
ć Review and advise on risks outside of authority to Underwriter for renewal.
ć Responsible for rating and issuance of endorsements (within authority)
ć Handle the process of cancellation for non-payment and tail procedures.
ć Monitor monthly claim reports to utilize in underwriting review of policy files for renewal.
ć Responsible for producing accurate renewal list.
ć Maintain working knowledge of rating, coverage and regulatory issues.
ć Assist Underwriter, Senior Underwriter or Underwriting Manager with management of renewal and new business files.
ƒá Assist in achieving the Company¡¦s profitability goals.
ć Assist Manager or VP on special projects.
ć Perform service functions for clients and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
„X 3+ years of medical professional liability or commercial liability experience as Account Representative, Assistant Underwriter or Commercial Lines Rater.
„X Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
„X Strong customer service focus.
„X Organized and professional.
„X Computer proficiency with Microsoft Applications with emphasis on Word and Excel. The ability to learn the Oasis system utilized by the Company.
Working Conditions:
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
