Claims Representative (PIP)

This position is responsible for handling Florida PIP claims including the investigation, evaluation and disposition of coverage, liability and damage issues of automobile accident claims.

• Conduct investigations including interviews, recorded statements, securing public records and obtaining documents on point for moderate to complex claims.
• Adjust claims according to applicable law and policy provisions. 
• Confirm coverage and recognize coverage issues.
• Investigate auto and/or specialty product claims.
• Evaluate and settle bodily injury claims.
• Negotiate and communicate effectively with medical providers, attorneys, customers and vendors.
• Provide lawsuit management.
• Recognize critical files and immediately report them to management.
• Recognize subrogation opportunities and refer them to Subrogation Unit.
• Recognize possible fraud and refer files to Special Investigations Unit.
• Evaluate and conclude claims consistent with Company''s standards/Department of Insurance Regulations.
• Maintains log, mail, party screens and timely diary.
•  Assure claim maintenance is current.
• Request payments through system.
