This position is responsible for handling Florida PIP claims including the investigation, evaluation and disposition of coverage, liability and damage issues of automobile accident claims. - Conduct investigations including interviews, recorded statements, securing public records and obtaining documents on point for moderate to complex claims.
- Adjust claims according to applicable law and policy provisions.
- Confirm coverage and recognize coverage issues.
- Investigate auto and/or specialty product claims.
- Evaluate and settle bodily injury claims.
- Negotiate and communicate effectively with medical providers, attorneys, customers and vendors.
- Provide lawsuit management.
- Recognize critical files and immediately report them to management.
- Recognize subrogation opportunities and refer them to Subrogation Unit.
- Recognize possible fraud and refer files to Special Investigations Unit.
- Evaluate and conclude claims consistent with Company''s standards/Department of Insurance Regulations.
- Maintains log, mail, party screens and timely diary.
- Assure claim maintenance is current.
- Request payments through system.
Qualified candidate will have: Bachelors Degree or 4+ years experience in Claims. License with Department of Financial Services to settle insurance claims. 2+ years of PIP experience Strong verbal and written skills and the ability to read, analyze and interpret insurance policies, technical procedures and government regulations.
