Product Analyst Responsibilities include: · Develop expert knowledge of state regulatory issues and serve as resource in this area. Develop and produce test materials for all pricing and underwriting changes. · Work with other functional areas to facilitate proper implementation of rate and product changes by answering questions, solving problems, and resolving discrepancies. · Create competitor pricing and segmentation assessments using market basket analytical tools. Analyze competitive data, pricing and underwriting techniques. Projects can include: data validation, competitive position analysis, field based market studies and projections on business volume and mix statistics. · Work on special projects and analysis as assigned. Participate in the design and testing of new reporting tools and analytics. Knowledge, Skill & Competency Requirements: · Excellent academic credentials and a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a analytical based discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Finance. · Desire to learn complex concepts. Ability to develop, recommend and execute data driven business strategy. · Successful at multi-tasking and able to operate accurately and effectively in a high-volume, deadline-oriented environment. · Analytical ability necessary to acquire a basic understanding of the regulatory process and loss performance metrics. · Strong organizational and planning skills. Attention to detail, quality, and quantitative orientation a must. · Working competency with complex Microsoft Excel tools. Familiarity with SAS or other programming tools a plus. · Occasional travel required.
