This position is responsible for managing all aspects of operation of a claims branch office including providing leadership to a management staff, if applicable. It is responsible for operating with an appropriate level of autonomy based on experience level and may manage claims administration in multiple state jurisdictions. Responsibilities & Objectives· Maintain Key Measures at ‘Meets Expectations’ or higher. · Ensure appropriate customer (internal and external) service. · Responsible for file handling quality in accordance with CG (Claims Guidelines) and Department of Insurance Regulations. · Responsible for claims results for a branch. · Responsible for litigation management. · Interview, hire, train, develop and monitor performance of staff. · Maintain appropriate and timely file diary. · Audit employees’ work. · Recognize and communicate issues to Management. · Handle physical plant issues. · Perform other duties as assigned. PREREQUISITES- Bachelors degree or higher education preferred
- Successful completion of AEI – Legal Principles claims law course and/or industry recognized coursework preferred
Experience & Skills· Minimum 6 years claims experience · Previous management experience and/or 3 years as Branch or Unit Manager or equivalent · Proven leadership skills · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
