Our Territory Marketing Managers are responsible for managing the distribution and promotion of all products in an assigned territory, demonstrating superior sales results and serving as experts in our products and operation processes. Responsibilities & Objectives- Identify prospective agents for agency appointments; consider factors such as length of time in business, other companies represented, prior loss experience, volume and existing Company representation in area; identify and manage statewide or multi-state accounts and relationships.
- Contact assigned agents and brokers on a re-occurring basis via phone and in person.
- Identify potential renewal quoting opportunities.
- Procure all needed agent appointment paperwork.
- Develop strong relationships with agents to increase production and profitability; keep agents informed of product enhancements, production and loss results; initiate audits, review loss runs, and suggest methods to improve performance.
- Provide agency training and perform installation of agency automation.
- Keep abreast of competitor and regulatory changes and predict impact on Bristol West.
- Identify and communicate product or market opportunities.
- Participate in industry events/tradeshows as appropriate.
- Manage agent performance; recommend terminations when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills· Up to 5 years prior experience in insurance field sales- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed objectives
- Superior knowledge of the independent agent base and competitors in territory
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with remote supervision; supervisor will monitor and direct work duties
Strong technical/PC skills including software installation
