This position is responsible for leading the Personal Lines Pricing unit. The person will be an integral team member working with Personal Lines Product department and Field Operations to help MSA to achieve targeted growth and profit objectives. Primary responsibilities include:
- Assists MSA in developing 'best in class' predictive models for Personal Lines.
- Leads the integration of predictive models into MSA pricing by state.
-Influences the process of setting appropriate rate levels by completing Actuarial analysis and making recommendations to MSA Sr. Management.
-Assists in establishing appropriate premium and profitability objectives for Personal Lines.
-Provides for Actuarial support for rate filings.
-Manages a staff of five actuarial analysts.
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, business or economics
- An ACAS or FCAS designation or equivalent
- 6-10 years of property & casualty insurance experience, with at least 3 years of management experience is essential
- At least 2-3 years of predictive modeling or implementing predictive modeling experience or exposure to predictive modeling is a plus
- Ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and envision long-term direction
- Strong leadership skills and analytical and decision making skills are critical.
