Job Details

American Access Casualty Company (AACC) provides quality private passenger automobile insurance to our valued customers. We began operations in 2000 and provide private passenger automobile and physical damage insurance coverage in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada and Texas. We are currently seeking talented and self-motivated people to join our team as an Appraiser.

Responsibilities include:

  • Examine damaged vehicle to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage
  • Estimate parts and labor to repair damage, using standard automotive labor and parts-cost manuals and knowledge of automotive repair
  • Determine salvage value on total-loss vehicles
  • Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair-cost estimates and recommendations
  • Review repair-cost estimates with automobile-repair shop to secure agreement on cost of repairs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high quality body shops

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of writing auto damage estimates and/or equivalent body shop experience
  • High school diploma is required and some college preferred
  • Excellent working knowledge of an estimating system, CCC1 highly preferred
  • Knowledge of all I-Car practices and procedures
  • Strong understanding of the local market place
  • Customer-focused orientation modeling patience and empathy
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with individuals from all backgrounds
  • Ability to manage schedule including working effectively from a home office
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required
