General Summary
Evaluate and negotiate prompt, fair, auto total loss settlements.

Key Responsibilities

• Examines claims data, reviews facts of loss, and utilizes technical estimating expertise in determining repair versus total loss.
• Responsible for resolution of total loss claims by conducting vehicle valuations which often require negotiation to reach settlement.
• Develops understanding and knowledge of state laws and regulations, including state unfair claims practice laws.
• May require travel for catastrophe duty and/or work outside normal business hours.
• May be called upon to perform additional duties as directed. Qualifications Minimum Experience / Education:

• 1 years or more related claims, total loss, or appraisal experience.
• I-CAR or similar technical certification preferred.
• High school degree or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft applications.

In states where required, obtains and maintains necessary adjuster/appraiser licensing.

Communication: Human Relations and Customer Service experience is required. Ability to explain simple and complex issues. Effectively communicate to our customers.

Collaboration: Must be able to collaborate and develop strong team relationships.

Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of automotive repair and industry trends. Must have experience with estimate appraisal systems/software. Must be able to review and analyze estimates by any appraisal source to determine accuracy and control leakage.
