Job Summary:

Kemper Benefits has an immediate need for a Vendor Relationship Manager. In this position you will monitor all aspects of Kemper Service Center operations to ensure that Kemper Benefit cases are administered according to contractual provisions.

Work with the vendor's management team to ensure integration of their operations with the Kemper Service Center:

• Ensure that SLAs are met and that such reporting is fair and accurate
• Take ownership of issues impacting key clients and lead the effort towards resolution; oversee the Customer Advocacy Process
• Facilitate and coordinate issue resolution and elimination of production dependencies between vendor operations management and Kemper Benefits operations management
• Assists with the design and implementation of operational and system enhancements to ensure production capabilities are both effective and efficient
• Monitor the development of a testing strategy and the execution of test plans by the UAT staff for assigned projects
• Prepares analysis for production support of systems and applications and associated documentation
• Makes recommendations for business process improvements with a thorough understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the technology and business needs
• Facilitate communication and coordination of activities between Kemper Benefits & vendor project teams
• Partner with vendor project managers to ensure that vendor IT and Operations resources are in alignment and work to resolve differences when not.
• Manage process improvement projects to improve the integration of vendor Operations with sales, account management and other finance/operations centers
• Monitor Kemper Benefits related projects for compliance with SDLC (systems development life cycle) process and monitor all projects for adequacy of process and resources
• Work with Kemper Service Center management (vendor) to insure that Kemper Benefit's issues and initiatives are given top priority

• Serve as the primary interface between the operation in Austin, TX and other Kemper Benefits organizations. Interact with sales reps, account managers, producers, and clients to resolve problem cases and repair relationships

Position Qualifications:

•College degree plus 8-10 years of business experience in operations management
•Experience in the group benefits industry preferred; experience in other insurance lines or the broader financial services industry is acceptable
•Project management experience
