Sr Human Resource Business Leader

As the Sr Human Resource Business Leader, you'll lead the human resource team that supports our claims business group of more than 15,000 employees in 300+ locations. In this role, you'll be responsible for aligning our HR efforts to support key business initiatives. Partnering with our Claims President and Chief Human Resource Officer, you'll develop and execute the strategic agenda for HR.


  • Develops and executes the strategic human resource agenda that supports the Claims organization

  • Advisor to executive management on critical business and human resources initiatives

  • Maintains an awareness and understanding of employment regulations, industry trends and developments and HR best practices


  • Bachelor's degree in a Business discipline or related field of study (e.g. Business Administration, Human Resources) and ten years of related work experience managing various HR or business functions

  • Ability to establish strategic direction, create business plans and provide operational oversight to ensure goals are achieved

  • Talent development, coaching and mentoring skills for improved performance and career success

  • Broad knowledge of HR fundamentals, policies, laws and best practices

  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to synthesize complex business data to develop effective solutions

  • Process management skills and the ability to organize people and activities to execute an agenda

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence and persuade

  • Formal presentation skills and the ability to present information, including data and trends, to a variety of audiences

  • Business management and operations skills including organizational development, business strategy, process improvement and business analysis
