Job Summary
Plans at a tactical level and manages the effective use of resources and directs assigned staff to develop, implement and maintain large complex system(s) and/or project(s). Facilitates and/or participates in and has input to the design/development process.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Manages to the tactical and operational plan for assigned information systems and/or projects of business unit significance. Advocates the use of technology to develop and/or redesign the organization's processes. Accountable for directing staff to achieve deliverables. Cost benefit is the key driver for enhancement and/or project prioritization.
Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Contribute to the socialization and execution of our multi-year enterprise ITO sourcing strategy
  • Enhance the outcome-based models methodology education and enterprise adoption
  • Manage ITO supplier relationships
  • Participate in ITO strategic sourcing development and execution across Travelers
  • Participate in the ITO vendor governance processes and contractual commitments
  • Provide RFP/RFI guidance for LOB sourcing opportunities
  • Consult with assigned Line of Businesses to ensure external ITO sourcing strategies are routinely refreshed and address IT and business needs
  • Manage migrations to outcome-based sourcing models
  • Partner with the Legal and Procurement teams
  • Educate and socialize GSO best practices
  • Provide travel consultation for employees visiting offshore partners
  • Contribute to the communication strategy with ITO Steering Committee, ITO Operating Group and ITO Working Group
  • Act as first point of contact for ITO sourcing issues and escalation management of assigned Line of Businesses or Division(s)
  • Provide ongoing support of ITO operations work
  • Assist in leading the team toward accomplishing business, corporate and departmental goals and objectives

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. 7 years of technology or business related experience preferred. 2 years of experience managing others preferred.
