Job Summary
Reports to Underwriting Manager. Responsible for the underwriting and issuance of Select Account renewals and/or new business within delegated authority. Underwrites and processes complex renewal and endorsement referrals from Issue Express agencies and other service center teams. Goals are focused on retention, RPC, agency service and timely response to agency requests and other key defined process measures. Provides support within established performance standards and priorities that are responsive to marketing, underwriting, retention and service goals. Assures all related support activities are delivered in a manner consistent with Commercial Lines customer service and expense management focus.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Evaluate complex Select renewal and endorsement business to accept, modify, decline and price accounts. In addition, responsible for underwriting any new business generated by the Service Center, both for new accounts and through cross-selling of new coverages. Ensures quality of underwriting meets standards for Select Accounts. Provide technical underwriting support and assistance to other employees in the Service Center handling less complex renewals and agents in the underwriting, sales and servicing of Select Accounts. Works with Agency Program Managers to resolve global underwriting issues prior to service center deal implementation. Handle incoming phone calls on existing accounts. Act as liaison with other departments and Select marketing offices to resolve problems (i.e. audit, billing, and claims). Provides appropriate level of customer service support to agents, marketing office and internal staff. Assists in agency, service and sales team audits to insure quality of renewal and cross-sold book and that service center deal pricing is met. Provide appropriate level of customer service support to agents, field office and internal service center staff. This includes, but is not limited to automation support, policy services and communication of technical underwriting and product information. Participate in projects/assignments, which support policy service and production objectives with respect to marketing, underwriting, retention and customer service goals. Provide technical expertise in the delivery of underwriting training to new hires and existing staff. Conduct product and automation training for service center teams. Assist book transfer specialists on certain new business functions or complex underwriting/pricing situations.
