Job Summary
As the Senior Business Partner Lead (BPL), you will be accountable for alignment of business strategy to technology solution planning and overall capability delivery for Core Claim platform initiatives. This includes accountability for setting the business technology solution delivery direction, road maps for the capabilities and delivering to the business. This Technology professional works at a very senior level and interacts with senior business stakeholders to:
  • Develop & maintain effective working relationships with Claim SLT portfolio sponsors, IT Leads, and business partner organizations.
  • Identify needs and gaps through strategic assessment of business goals and external drivers, as well as capabilities.
  • Orchestrate and coordinate change through the development of strategies, roadmaps, and business plans to ensure that organization, process, business service, and technology are all aligned and change is prioritized and sequenced.
  • Adjust plans to deliver the value needed at any point in time by ensure planning is continuous to respond to new business and technology drivers and conditions.
  • Working with Business, Claim Technology, and enterprise partners, drive the development of solution options and delivery approaches that are appropriate for the expected business value.
  • Develop messaging for projects, programs, and business-technology capability roadmaps at necessary points over time, based on in-depth knowledge, context, and audience.
  • Provide review, assessment, and direction of projects and programs to drive results.
  • Apply historical knowledge and an understanding of capability roadmaps to maintain continued alignment of business-technology needs over time.

The ideal candidate understands technology as well as business drivers, is innovative, possesses strong communication skills, strong customer relationship management skills, consistently demonstrates high emotional intelligence and is able to work with minimal supervision. Experience working on business/technology initiatives within a Property & Casualty Claim organization is highly desired.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
1.Provides management and oversight of all technology projects for assigned business areas
2.Works with business owners to define scope for IT development projects
3.Manages work of IT Business Partner Managers/Directors across multiple project work streams
4.Provides business solution consulting by maintaining an awareness of current and future initiatives and how they align to the strategic vision
5.Works directly with executive level business sponsors as well as business owners. Accountable to executive sponsors and is the direct representative to senior management
6.May have direct reports
7.Other duties as assigned

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
BS/BA in Computer Science, MIS, Business or other related field, MBA a plus
Minimum 5 - 8 years of work experience delivering business capabilities through technology initiatives
