Based in Sunrise Florida, with a secondary location in Sarasota Florida, Team Focus Insurance Group (Team Focus) serves the property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry, most prominently through subsidiaries which include MacNeill Group (MGA, wholesale broker,

The Account Executive manages a book of insurance business, while acting with a high degree of independent discretion, autonomy, and decision-making. Analyzes and researches underwriting issues and ensures adherence to underwriting rules and guidelines as they
relate to applications submitted for coverage by performing the following duties. Responsible for the generation of new business sales in accordance with assigned annual goal and professional sales communication with partner agents and companies.


• Underwrites, markets and promotes Commercial Lines production in accordance with partner company guidelines.

• Maintains production (including quotes) and quality standards in line with established goals and expectations.

• Oversees the preparation and implementation of all transactions, paperwork and internal processing for assigned accounts in accordance with department procedures.

• Maintains all client related information, process all insurance transactions through company interface systems and communicate with clients and insurance companies.

• Identifies new coverage opportunities and work with producers in order to enhance client development; Builds and grows Commercial Lines book of business.

• Acquires understanding of clients insurance objectives and critically examines analyzes and compares insurance plans to determine suitability.

• Conducts meetings with producing agents, and attends trade shows.

• Supports, trains and introduces newly appointed agents with our products, markets, and underwriting philosophy.

• Oversees the performance of underwriting team members.

• Provides training, guidance, and monitors workflow distribution to team members.

• Receives, reviews, and underwrites applications from appointed agents including pricing and quoting.

• Prepares accounts that exceed our underwriting authority to be submitted to company for consideration.

• Reviews and signs E & S policies.

• Supports the senior leadership by executing Company initiatives.


• Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university, business degree preferred; Five (5) or more years of Commercial Lines underwriting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must have knowledge of policy forms, coverage options and carrier rating systems.

• Current and active 2-20 or 4-40 license.

• Industry Designations such as CPCU or CIC strongly preferred.

• Previous working experience as an Account Executive highly preferred.

• Must have knowledge of policy forms, coverage options and carrier rating systems.

• Demonstrated relational and sales skills.

• Detail oriented and flexible.

• Able to effectively multi-task at a high level.

• Ability to gather, organize, analyze, examine, or evaluate data or information and may prescribe action based on such data or information within specific guidelines.

• Requires the application of logical principals and thinking to solve practical problems within or applying to a unit of division of the organization.

• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.

• Strong computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel.

• Ability to direct and monitor the activities of assigned underwriting team members.

• Must be open to extensive travel (30-60%) within the state of Florida.
