Allstate Insurance Company has an exceptional career opportunity for an Inside Auto Total Loss Claim Trainee in Brookhaven, NY.
In this vital role, you will be responsible delivering an exceptional claims experience to the vehicle owner while reviewing detailed damage estimates for the vehicles which are deemed a total loss. This job is responsible for researching discrepancies, and reviewing and submitting any receipts or other documentation that affect vehicle valuation. This job is also responsible for addressing any customer concerns or questions related to the settlement process and gaining experience in delivering compassionate service that is fast, fair, and easy, to ensure customer retention. The individual is capable of working independently, prioritizing the individual's own responsibilities, and managing the individual's own workload. The individual is also gaining experience in meeting band level behaviors, production, quality and/or customer service goals.
-Makes and maintains a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs; serves the customer with empathy; and follows up to ensure that customer needs have been met
File Documentation and Reporting
-Summarizes documents and enters into claim system notes
-Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations and decision making process
Negotiation and Settlement Guidance
-Negotiates and settles basic claims in accordance with business unit best practices
-Negotiates basic total loss settlements or salvage valuation
-Processes titles, including documentation, maintaining logs and contacting banks/lien holders
-Prepares total loss damage evaluation, determination, and actual cash value of vehicle
-Researches valuation of salvage; processes salvage titles, and monitors salvage recoveries
-Conditions basic total loss of vehicle and provides report to customer
Claim Payment Processes - Issuance and Authority
-Processes claims payments
-Initiates system generated checks and pays appropriate parties
Our ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and strong customer service experience. Computer skill are also required which includes the ability to establish vehicle values, set up tows, and e-mail information to customers. The ideal candidate will be able to equally balance the customer's experience so they recommend family and friends to Allstate while being the best in the industry in managing loss expenses. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills. Candidates should possess the ability to manage relationships in a fast paced environment, while demonstrating persistence and problem solving skills. Candidates who have previously used a computer estimating system such as: Audatex, CCC One and Mitchell are encouraged to apply. Candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply.
