Long Term Care Underwriting, Assistant Vice President

Specialty insurance company is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Long Term Care Underwriting. This position is responsible for underwriting highly complex Long Term Care accounts while developing and executing strategic initiatives that contribute to the growth and profitability. This individual will be responsible for managing a book of business in an assigned territory while providing superior service and fostering long lasting relationships with agents, brokers and internal partners.  Focus is on new business production and large account management.  Qualified candidates will have expert knowledge of technical underwriting, pricing, and coverage issues.  Must be a proven self-starter with strong multi-tasking and relationship management skills.  Bachelor’s degree required, as well as 7-10 years of progressively more complex, Medical Professional Liability underwriting experience.  Professional insurance designation is preferred (AICPCU, RPLU).

Position may be located in Richmond, VA, Chicago, IL, Boston, MA, Farmington, CT or NYC.
