Job Description

Encompass Strategy and Sales Enablement works across multiple areas to provide critical information that drives optimal business performance. We recommend innovative solutions that guide strategies and improve operational processes and results. Our work includes providing comprehensive research and analysis to drive strategic planning, process improvement, and support the Encompass business unit.

The Encompass Strategy and Sales Enablement team is responsible for research and analysis to drive strategic planning and process improvement. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Strategy and Sales Enablement and will provide support for Encompass business unit and senior leadership team. This individual will consult across organization, coordinate projects, and provide analytical support for strategy related initiatives.
•Work with key stakeholders to understand business processes, prepare gap analysis, and provide options and recommendations for improvement
•Facilitate workshops to identify business objectives, define project goals, and deliver project roadmaps
•Analyze and synthesize key issues and trends in the insurance industry
•Provide competitor research and analytics to support strategic planning
•Lead efforts to gather and synthesize cross-functional information to build comprehensive storylines
•Support development of presentations to communicate strategic analysis
•Complete various ad hoc projects in a dynamic environment
•Interact with other departments as part of a team that evaluates and communicates strategies

Job Qualifications

•BA or BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or related area of study
•Ability to triangulate and synthesize information and develop actionable insights
•Ability to conduct comprehensive research using information from multiple sources
•Intermediate insurance and finance knowledge (i.e.; financial skills/flow of the numbers)
•Effective communication skills (storyline development and presentation)
•Strong quantitative and analytical skills
•Strong conceptual thinking skills - ability to think "big picture"
•Self-starter, high energy and detail oriented; ability to work with minimal supervision
•Ability to work in team settings as well as independently
•Organizational and time management skills - prioritizes multiple projects to meet deadlines
•Intellectual curiosity and drive for continuous improvement - personally and with work assignments
•Proficient in Microsoft based applications such as Word, Excel, Access, and Powerpoint – knowledge of Business Objects or Tableau considered a plus
•3+ years of relevant working experience in an analytical environment.
•Consulting, facilitation, and project coordination experience is perferred
