In this role you will be empowered to translate our platform-based Connected Consumer product strategy into highly functional, modular and high performing code-think services and APIs.
You will develop code all day, every day on a full stack cloud platform, leveraging test driven development and continuous delivery.
To help you grow, teach others and maximize productivity you will work in a paired programming environment that is highly structured.
You love to code and you are willing to fail fast and iterate to success.
You're ready to judge your success by the success of your team and the happiness of customers.
You play well with others and have well developed communication skills. This is a paired programming environment so you have to be ready to be part of a team.
You have experience and/or interest in Test Driven Development and Agile methodologies
You are proficient in at least 1 programming language, preferably more. Java J2EE is our core so you need to be willing to get up to speed. You will be pairing with other developers and need to understand code well enough to ask good questions.
You have a clear understanding of cloud services, deployment models and distributed systems.
- 5 years of software development experience
- Experience developing web services and APIs
- Experience designing applications-in many interations you will not receive a full spec and will need to feel comfortable thinking things through, filling in the blanks and iterating across sprints as we receive feedback from customer interactions.
- Experience with Internet of Things is a plus
