DescriptionThe Testing Analyst is a key member in the Software Quality Assurance team at AmTrust. The goals of the Testing Analyst are to:
  • Ensure defect-free implementations of software products
  • Ensure that new enhancements do not lead to regression
  • Support the appropriate business unit by helping to ensure on time deployments
  • Adhere to AmTrust change management procedures, and be a champion of these procedures This position's role and day-to-day duties are primarily centered around automated software testing, and to an extent business analysis, though other duties outside of what is outlined below may be required. A successful candidate will excel in the duties outlined below:
  • Creation of automated tests - Tests will be created in order to support a specific software application, and in such a way to ensure both efficiency and comprehensiveness.
  • Maintenance of existing test sets - Test data and workflows will require periodic revision to ensure that enhancements and changes are being tested against test data which is current and relevant.
  • Review of test results - This is the core function of the test analyst position. Automated tests will execute following each build of a given application. They must be reviewed in an accurate and timely fashion to ensure that issues can be reported and addressed as appropriate.
  • Enhancements to test running and other supported applications - The testing analyst team is the primary business user of a suite of applications which support automated testing and reporting. - The ability to provide accurate requirements when changes to this suite of applications are needed, and to work with the quality assurance development team is essential

    Position Requirements
  • Knowledge of the SDLC
  • Strong communication skills
  • 1+ years working in IT
  • This position occasionally requires hours outside of the standard business day in order to support application pushes, and other projects
  • This position may require domestic or international travel (Less than 10%) Nice To Have:
  • 2+ years in a software testing role
  • Experience working with automated testing is a strong plus
  • Experience working with insurance (Property and Casualty) is a strong plus Preferred Education:
  • 2 or 4 year degree in: MIS, CIS, Business, or similar
