Progressive is a place where innovation and collaboration are a way of life, where hard work is celebrated and rewarded, where you can see what you're truly made of … and love what you do.
Progressive's culture celebrates creative ideas coupled with analytical thinking. We'll give you the chance to use your quantitative skills, along with your marketing savvy, to make decisions that impact the company. Over the last 20 years Progressive has grown from $3.0 billion in written premium in 1996 to $18 billion today, and, in 2002, became one of the largest private passenger auto insurers in the U.S. All of it is a result of our people—today more than 27,000 of them—who come to the company to learn, risk, grow and perform.
As a Product Manager at Progressive, you will work alongside many of the brightest people in the industry and where your results, not tenure, are rewarded. It's been said that Progressive has hired, taught and put back into the industry more CEOs than any other property/casualty insurer. That's not surprising given that each senior manager is given an opportunity to run a business, make a plan, take risks, succeed and share and fail and learn from it, all while enjoying the capital backing of the Corporation.
Our Product Managers are empowered with profit and loss responsibility to manage and grow their area of the business. A Product Manager's primary role is to develop a comprehensive strategy that positions Progressive's products to meet clients' needs, build company revenues, outperform competitors and achieve corporate objectives. Becoming a Product Manager offers general management experience as you work with various functional groups ensuring strategic development and profitable growth for your state(s). In this role, you will develop the business strategy and lead its implementation.
