To execute the Professional Risk Private and NFP D&Ogrowth and underwriting business strategies by implementing established actionplans and goals for the region. As anunderwriting member of the Professional Risk team in the assigned region, this positionwill work within their local team to achieve profitable underwriting resultsthrough the growth, development, servicing and underwriting of our “Core”Private NFP D&O business. Thisposition will be responsible for helping to achieve Profitability &Production Goals, meeting Overall Branch Administrative standards, and activelyparticipating within the regional D&O team.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
PROFITABILITY & PRODUCTION
Goal Achievement - Delivering upon the established New andRenewal business goals as provided by the Regional Team Leader. This will include Premium projections as wellas all Policy Acquisition Expense budgets.
Growth Strategies - Executing upon the assigned roles perthe written regional marketing plans and strategies including:
• Client& Broker Relations including Sales Calls & attendant strategies
• CompletingTarget Account responsibilities & Cross Sell Strategies
Underwriting Integrity - Achieving all underwritingstandards as outlined by the Professional Risk Home office and all applicableUnderwriting Guidelines, Authorities, and Position Papers including:
• Pricing& Attachments including Rate Change Goals
• Terms &Conditions

As a key member of the Chubb Private/Non-Profit Major Accounts team, the executive underwriter will contribute to the achievement of regional profitability and production results through the growth, development, and underwriting of Directors & Officers, Employment Practices, Fiduciary, Crime, and Kidnap & Ransom lines of business for Major Accounts. In addition this position is responsible for establishing and cultivating business relationships with brokers, clients and other relevant spheres of influence within the Midwest territory to assure the continued flow of new business opportunities while representing all Major Private financial lines segments and products.
-Evaluate, select, underwrite, price, quote and maintain profitable new and renewal Private & Non-for-Profit business in the Major Accounts segment;
-Produce new business opportunities within the Midwest territory;
-Retain accounts through active participation in Chubb Stewardship process and superior client servicing;
-Coordinate production efforts with other Chubb underwriting divisions to identify account expansion opportunities;
-Work with the regional manager to develop and implement marketing plans with brokers and clients in the territory.
-College degree in insurance, business or related fields or equivalent experience.
-At least 5 years professional liability experience, preferably in Private D&O and/or underwriting of complex accounts
-Superior communication, interpersonal, organizational and negotiating skills
-Superior analytical skills needed to evaluate and develop relevant program submissions
-Excellent sales and marketing skills
-Advanced computer skills preferred
