Key aspects of this role:

As a Product Manager of our Collector Car program, you will primarily be responsible for assisting in the development of this new program as well as product enhancements, services, processes, and growing the business, and you will be expected to coordinate your team in the completion of these projects. Therefore, desirable candidates will be able to effectively:

  • Manage direct expenses within the department's expense budget while simultaneously achieving premium and profitability goals

  • Monitor accounting responsibilities such as treaty reinsurance, premium collections, investment strategy, and captive accounting if applicable

  • Ensure that all aspects of assigned products are properly managed, (i.e. presentation materials, legal documents, reinsurance agreements, collateral, investment strategies, financial statements, premium collections, regulatory approvals, etc.)

  • Review and monitor coverage limits, deductibles, endorsements offered and reinsurance retentions of NIIC, reinsurance partners, & program partners

  • Maintain compliance on an account-by-account and program-wide basis including filings, statutory reporting, and agency licensing

  • Establish & apply pricing methodology based on bureau, modified bureau, proprietary model, or some combination thereof

  • Monitor and respond to customer, agency partner, & internal emails in a timely & professional manner

  • Maintain current risk control reports/service and current underwriting files and assist in managing the “hot claims” process and coordinate claim review meetings

  • Respond to and resolve problems and opportunities related to Customer Service support

  • Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

Skills and background that we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university strongly preferred

  • Graduate degree, CPA, CPCU, or other designations a plus

  • Minimum of 2 years of property/casualty experience

  • Strong foundation in underwriting, marketing, and finance

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and defend conclusions

  • Working knowledge of PC's, including databases, word processing and spreadsheets

  • Thorough proficiency in all Microsoft Office Programs, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including proficiency working with spreadsheets, internet, and online services

  • Proficiency in POINT, Aura, Auragin, Silverplume, and PRISM preferred

  • Travel Requirements: 25-34 days per year

  • Travel, including overnight travel, is a requirement
