Key aspects of this role:

As a Product Technician, you will be primarily responsible for providing overall general administrative and underwriting support to the product managers and conducting policy processing tasks within the parameters of timeliness standards, appropriate coverages, state regulations, and delegated authority. Desirable candidates will be able to effectively:

  • Monitor customer emails and tasks to be referred to the Product Manager for handling

  • Prepare source documents and other policy processing documents that aid in the customer service function within the policy issuance timeliness standards, including policy output review and endorsement processing

  • Obtain critical underwriting and compliance information for our files, as well as assist in completing policy audits

  • Verify account pricing compliance with Silverplume rating software

  • Monitor assigned accounts and periodically review performance against expected losses and prepare routine reports/correspondences as necessary

  • Work cooperatively with the Product Manager (as well as Product Analysts and Underwriters), Sales, Claims, and Accounting staff so that excellent service is provided to customers

  • Execute other duties as assigned

Skills and background that we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • 1-2 years of prior office experience is helpful

  • Insurance experience and/or college degree is preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as procedure manuals

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication talent
