Key aspects of this role:

As a Regional Account Manager, you will primarily be responsible for directing the sales and service of National Interstate Insurance Company lines of insurance products within a designated marketing territory. Your performance will be measured by sales results and by achieving high customer service standards. This role is a full time position offering a base salary plus commission. Desirable candidates will be able to effectively:

  • Prospect potential clients within an assigned territory by identifying them through leads provided by our marketing team, use of the EZ Search Database, networking current clients and conducting internet research

  • Place cold calls to establish in-person appointments in order to present current product offerings and achieve production goals

  • Travel at least 10 working days per month (55+ days per year) to build business relationships with current clients and prospects

  • Provide expertise to prospects and clients concerning their insurance needs and present quotes in a professional manner

  • Prepare monthly reports which address renewal retention objectives, new business submissions and production, pipeline of accounts and a target account list

  • Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

Skills and essentials that we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years commercial insurance sales experience or equivalent work experience strongly desired

  • Must have Ohio Property and Casualty license within 30 days of the employment date

  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication talent is essential

  • Possession of solid critical thinking abilities and an analytical mindset

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
