The Assurant is recruiting for a strategy manager for our Enterprise Sourcing Office (ESO) who will play an advisory role in developing strategy, creating large and complex business cases, establishing, managing, and maturing governance processes for large contact center/back-office operations outsourcing service providers, and designing and implementing transition methodologies.

The strategy manager is a very high visibility role that will provide you with opportunities to:

Enterprise Transformation Office at Assurant is an internal consulting and transformation team that partners with businesses in transforming exiting operations and building new operations to significantly enhance the quality and reduce cost of providing the services. Enterprise Sourcing Office (ESO) a department with Transformation Office that focuses on leveraging global delivery model as a key transformation lever. The ESO acts a center of excellence (COE) for service provider governance and service delivery model strategy.

ESO helps Assurant leadership in various businesses in:

  • Conducting strategic studies of various operational areas
  • Defining global delivery model solution
  • Building highly complex business case and subsequently tracking value against the business case
  • Identifying eco-system partners
  • Building shared services and centers of excellence
  • Developing and negotiating complex sourcing contracts
  • Transitioning work to future state delivery model
  • Implementing and leading detailed governance including
    • Contract Management
    • Financial Management
    • Performance Management
    • Relationship Management

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 3+ years of prior experience in operations, finance or strategy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA Degree (specialization in Finance, Strategy or Operations / Supplychain is highly desired)
  • Experience with traditional Contact/Call Center and/or back-office operations management
  • Experience in being a part of large scale enabled transformation programs (technology or non technology)Outsourcing benchmarking, market analyses and financial negotiations
  • Master knowledge of contract terms and conditions (T&C)
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a team environment and highly matrixed environment
  • Ability to travel 2-3 times per year, including international travel
  • Familiarity with complex Business Process Outsourcing, Call Center and IT Outsourcing
  • Lean Six Sigma and or process redesign experience
  • Management Consulting Experience
  • Experience in Legal Contracting
  • Regulatory, compliance and audit experience
  • Advanced creative problem solving skills in a team environment
