Allstate insurance company has an exceptional career opportunity for an Actuary Analysis Manager in Northbrook, IL!
The Experience Analysis team is responsible for developing best estimate management assumptions and analysis / reporting of company experience.
Execute the REDAI process (Recognize, Evaluate, Develop, Approve, Implement) for actuarial / policyholder behavior assumptions. Perform research, analysis, and maintain exhibits for financial reporting. Support requests for company experience from auditors, regulators and industry studies. Lead development of transaction databases and new analytic capabilities. Manage and develop staff.
Execute on assumption recognition, evaluation, development, approval and implementation
Champion studies or participate as a SME as appropriate
Lead meetings, manage resources, address challenges
Develop recommendations using best practices for data validation, exposure / credibility methods and other relevant actuarial concepts, benchmark internally and externally
Complete documentation, peer reviews (internal and / or external), approvals, implementation
Perform research, analysis, and maintain exhibits for financial reporting
Provide actual-to-expected experience analysis for key risks
Lead the consolidation of experience reporting requests and reporting throughout the company
Publish communication reports, including a forward looking perspective of trends
Solicit peer review and feedback from SMEs across AORs including Product, Finance, Claims, Underwriting
Support requests for company experience from auditors, regulators and industry studies
Manage annual data submissions and analysis for New York Mandatory Life Experience Reporting, X-factor Reporting, and ALIC Re Experience Reporting requirements
Coordinate company participation in SOA industry surveys and studies
Address auditor and regulator questions
Support controls and other compliance items
Lead development of new transaction databases and new analytic capabilities
Be a key resource for the build-out from proof of concept through full implementation, providing input on variables and mappings needed
Build new programs to use data once it's implemented, reconciling the results against current programs and data sources
Build reporting dashboards with key insights to help drive management decisions

Deep knowledge about mortality risk, morbidity risk, policyholder behavior, underwriting, reinsurance
Deep knowledge of best practices and actuarial standards, especially around credibility / exposure methods
