General Summary:
This position will be responsible for Excess & Umbrella Insurance production that falls within established standards and guidelines of authority for a medium to complex book of business. This position will work with minimal supervision and has a regional scope of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing existing relationships and developing new relationships to build and sustain the Umbrella segment of business, while fostering relationships to grow in complementary areas of business. Works with senior management to accept, decline, modify, rate and quote new and renewal policies.
• Develop and accomplish sales, profit, expense, service and productivity goals that support and are consistent with organizational objectives.
• Initially, this position will be an individual contributor, reporting local management. As the business grows they will assume responsibility for leading and coaching associates.

• A four year college degree preferred.
• CPCU, ARM, CIC or other relavant industry designations are a plus.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience demonstrating progressively increasing levels of responsibility in underwriting and sales.
• Active California Property and Casualty Broker-Agent license required.
• Surplus lines experience and some established broker relationships preferred.
• Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced team-oriented environment a must.
