General Summary:
Serves as Information Security Subject Matter Expert on project teams and other situations that require such expertise. Conducts technical certification of internally and externally developed applications, products, and services including remediation plans. Contributes to the development of information security architecture, policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate independently and make sound information security decisions in the absence of clear guidance.
• Participate in project teams as the Information Security subject matter expert.
• Conduct technical certification of applications, products, and services to include remediation plans.
• Monitor and report on technology and current event trends to identify emerging risks to information systems. Qualifications

Minimum Experience / Education:
Must have a minimum of three years information security experience. A CISSP or CISA certification is required. Bachelors degree or equivalent required. CEH, CCE, GIAC, or FAIR Lite certifications a plus.

Communication and Collaboration Skills:
● Written: Written communications must by professional, clear, and concise. Primary audience will be internal users with widely varying levels of technical knowledge. Skills must include the ability to read, analyze, and develop business and technical articles, papers, periodicals, journals, regulations and other written resources.
● Oral: Oral communication must be professional, clear, and personable. Primary audience will be IT staff and project managers. Must understand the audience and be understood by the audience. Requires the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and issues from managers, clients, and customers in a collaborative manner.

Technical Knowledge:
Must be familiar with common information security tools and techniques. Application security knowledge a plus. Must be familiar with common risk assessment techniques and principles.

Problem Solving:
Must be able to make sound information security recommendations based on policy, business need, and technology. Must be able to identify emerging risks and develop appropriate mitigation recommendations.
