Responsible for the timely completion of tasks using sound actuarial techniques and methods. Areas of focus include the use of actuarial methodology for loss reserving, financial modeling and reinsurance applications.
1. Evaluate loss and lae reserves for various P&C lines of insurance and coverages.
2. Prepare data for Statutory and GAAP financial statements as well as internal financial reporting, analysis and forecasting.
3. Continue to develop advanced actuarial knowledge in order to implement or revise methodology as appropriate.
4. Conduct performance and assumption testing of actuarial methods to assure appropriateness of reserve levels.
Minimum Experience / Education:
ACAS with a minimum of 4 years of P&C actuarial experience. Bachelors in actuarial sciences, mathematics, statistics, or a related field. Actuarial software, database, and spreadsheet capabilities/proficiency. Multi-line casualty experience in broad market segments, including Specialty lines.
Communication and Collaboration Skills:
The ability to effectively communicate data and analysis to both actuarial and non-actuarial audiences in either technical or plain business language (as appropriate for the audience) both written and orally. A team player with the ability to seek out as well as contribute ideas to others in a team or group setting.
Problem Solving: Strong understanding of P&C actuarial techniques and statistical concepts. Ability to apply actuarial methodologies in a logical and timely manner.
