Job Knowledge

  • Application construction and decomposition modeling
  • Data modeling
  • Process modeling
  • Full stack engineering modeling
  • Software (application) integration mechanisms
  • Understanding of systems of record and their value
  • How to implement controls (e.g. audit of data quality)
  • ITSM/ITIL processes including Asset, Incident, Problem, Release, Change and Configuration Management

Job Description

  • Lead sessions with a variety of stakeholders to analyze, develop and describe an application portfolio management system to include:
  • Use cases
  • Data requirements
  • Institute and manage an Application Portfolio Management system (APM)
  • Analyze and assess existing portfolio management tools and data (in terms of data quantity and quality)
  • Develop an approach to tactically facilitate APM using existing software tools and processes
  • Develop a strategic (long term) approach towards APM as appropriate
  • Perform market research, analysis, RFP, etc.
  • Identify the future (ideal) state of a complete application portfolio management suite
  • Identify steps to move from current to future state
  • Oversee and govern the series of changes required to move from current to desired future state
  • Lead the development of best practices, training and other communication materials
  • Apply ARCI pattern to roles/staff responsibilities spread across the organization
  • Coach the use and adoption of processes, data and usage of the Application Portfolio Management tool(s)
  • Establish governance processes over data capture and data quality.

Job Qualifications

  • Team player
  • Able to prioritize requirements
  • Develop implementation approach
  • Office productivity tools (MS Office suite preferred)
  • Exhibit strong communication skills: oral and written; presenting to upper management required
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline preferred
