Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)+ Verify information set-up on claims, to determine if the customer's complaint, the diagnosis, the failed parts is eligible for the reported claims and justified the approved repair.
  • Verify repair cost was performed within industry standards.
  • Verify repair information to determine if coverage was within the limits of the service contract.
  • Verify claims were processed following the policy and procedure established by AmTrust and the insurance carriers.
  • Determine if inspection usage should have been requested or was necessary.
  • Verify that reference labor manuals, technical bulletins, recall, system comments, etc. were properly used and documented.
  • Document all information in the database system
  • Interface with customers, agents, dealers to complete all investigations of claims.
  • Complete a fair negotiated settlement of claim whenever possible.
  • Reference labor manuals, technical bulletins, recall, system comments, etc.
  • Assist legal department as needed
  • Assist other claims adjustors when needed in difficult claims.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. +

    Flexibility to work Saturday's as needed

    Requirements:+ ASE Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on automotive repair and diagnosis experience.
  • Heavy mechanical breakdown knowledge.
  • Parts and Labor Guide familiarity.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows based computer programs.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business correspondence or technical procedures.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
