Summary:This position will be responsible for the development and execution of Amtrust's SEO strategy, the growth of SEO traffic, and the improvement in conversion of SEO traffic across all Amtrust domains. The Senior SEO Director will work closely with the product management and development teams as well as the broader Marketing team, to implement the initiatives underlying the SEO strategy. This person will also be responsible for the ongoing reporting of performance against such initiatives. The candidate must be able to act and work as a self starter, as this department is organically being built during the first six months to one year of the calendar, will require the candidate to work alone as an independent resource without a strong support staff or teams of resources.

Responsibilities+ Develop SEO strategies for: Both “On-Site” & “Off-Site” SEO strategies, keyword list development, URL and site architecture optimizations, content development, back-linking and other strategies that maximize indexing, rank, CTR and on-site conversion of SEO traffic
  • At a date in the future hire SEO Technicians, Managers, and Analyst
  • Work closely with product and development teams to ensure product initiatives meet SEO best practices
  • Lead the definition of SEO requirements through Site Development and oversee QA implementation
  • Set KPI benchmarking and track SEO performance in the aggregate and on an initiative basis
  • Proactively communicate SEO results to management on a weekly basis, or more often if necessary
  • Conduct analysis at least quarterly to identify further optimization opportunities for SEO
  • Leverage web 2.0, social networking, user generated content and PR efforts to drive qualified traffic.
  • Manage deliverables, reporting, strategy implementation and all direct communications with internal IT department, analysts, marketing staff and the executive team.
  • Follow up on status of SEO recommendations, provide implementation reviews/feedback
  • Closely monitor algorithm updates and anticipate future shifts in SEO best practices
  • Maintain thorough and organized documentation of the communication and outcomes of communication between stakeholders as they relate to activities that effect SEO
  • Be proactive about checking with functional groups between weekly planned meetings to get updates on the progress of their projects and catalogue any changes from the planned schedule
  • Identify opportunities for both short term and long term objectives to increase search engine visibility.
  • Forecast SEO project timelines and resourcing as needed to support scope of work.
  • Drive quarterly planning and reporting process for SEO to support P&L goals.
  • Deeply understand the ROI within the company's business model and the opportunities to scale across customers and channels.
  • Manage business relationships and partner with platform technology vendors and agencies in strategic and day-to-day channel management.
  • Maintain personal knowledge of the latest techniques employed by leading players in the SEO space and algorithm updates released by the major search engines,
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, performance management and daily supervision of staff under their direction.
  • Architect & implement International SEO initiatives, across multiple countries in multiple languages.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:+ Deep understanding of how search engines work, and how to optimize websites to be ranked highly by search engines including expert knowledge in all of the following: site maps, robots files, URL structures, crawler issues, indexing problems, algorithm changes, metadata use, SEO copywriting, link research, link building, back-link analysis, anchor link analysis, broken links, cross linking, 301 redirects, etc.
  • Excellent analytical skills to understand consumer and usage data; knowledge of segmentation, testing and measurement techniques.
  • Able to work effectively across industry groups and experts, as well as across internal groups.
  • Demonstrated keyword advancement and high rankings on revenue generating terms through tactical implementations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and looking to have a significant impact on business success.
  • Leadership skills and experience managing resources
  • Excellent analytical skills to analyze large quantities of landing pages and keyword performance across marketing channels

    Position Requirements+ Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years of SEO / Content Marketing experience

    at an Enterprise Level Company+ Solid understand of SEO principles and Google's algorithm
