DescriptionFirst Nationwide Title Agency also known as FNTA (an AmTrust Financial Company), is a leading provider of title insurance and related services for the commercial/residential real estate industry on both a national and international scale. Headquartered in midtown Manhattan, the company also operates an active office in Uniondale, Long Island. The Agency provides title insurance and related services for all commercial property types including raw land, office buildings, retail condominiums, shopping malls, development sites, industrial properties such as warehouses, windmills, and other environmental sites. Deeply focused on customer service and satisfaction, the Agency's prime objective is to provide transactions that close successfully. The Post-Closing Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of post-closing processing of all closing packages. They are responsible for ensuring the documents are in good form and are recorded in the proper progression. Must handle resolution of all county rejections and follow all documents through the recording process until they are returned to proper parties in their recorded forms. Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for breaking down closing packages, identifying missing documents, scanning, labelling and saving closing packages to the system.
  • Responsible for all document review and all preparation of documents for recording. Must have experience in ACRIS and Prep tax form/cover page preparation.
  • Able, under supervision, to identify and resolve potential issues with recording documents.
  • Setting up and requesting checks for all recordings.
  • Responsible for sending documents to proper county or examiner for recording.
  • Able to track documents through the recording process until documents are of record and returned to the proper party.
  • Refunding of recording overages.

    Position Requirements
  • Between 2-5 years of experience with recording documents necessary.
  • Knowledge of commercial and residential documents.
  • Familiarity with county specific rules and regulations.
  • Must have good written and oral skills.
  • Must work well under pressure in a fast paced, team driven environment.
  • Professional and dependable.
  • Ability to problem solve, think critically and pay attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn recordings from an audit forward perspective as well as other jobs as assigned.
