Allstate Insurance Company has an exceptional career opportunity for a Field Property Adjuster in the Metro Detroit Area! CLK789

As a Field Property Adjuster you will play a vital role to ensure we deliver on our promise to help restore people's lives after they've had a property loss. You will be responsible for inspecting structural property damage and preparing itemized damage appraisals to return customers' property to their pre-loss condition. You will meet with customers in person to reassure them that they will be well taken care of, and help guide them through the settlement process. You will be challenged to manage multiple cases simultaneously, and solve problems in a fast-paced working environment. You will be measured on your ability to provide accurate estimates and reach fair and efficient claims resolutions, customer satisfaction and excellent cost management.   • Flexibility to travel throughout the Detroit Metro Area
  • Physical ability to carry, setup and climb a 50lb. ladder to access rooftops for property damage inspection
  • Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate property claims in order to reach fair and equitable settlements
  • Act as a customer advocate by establishing and maintaining a strong personal rapport with our customers
  • Provide support to local Allstate offices to expedite the claims process
  • Follow established procedures to ensure a positive customer experience and satisfy defined business objectives

Working environment:

Please note that, since this is a field service position, a valid driver's license is required. This position allows you to travel up to 75% of your working time within the territory and may include some overnight travel, and potential weekend and extended hours. Allstate would provide housing, food, and reimbursement for mileage where the business need exists. Option for a company vehicle is available for this position as well.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors degreed preferred with estimating/insurance experience
  • Prior use of Xactimate is preferred
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and seek training necessary to excel
  • Ability to apply classroom concepts in a real world working environment
  • Proven ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Proven record for maintaining the highest level of personal and professional integrity
  • Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
