DescriptionAmTrust Financial Services, ranked by Fortune Magazine as one of the 100 fastest growing companies in America, has an excellent opportunity, in our downtown Cleveland office, for an aspiring administrative or customer service professional seeking to gain a foothold in the corporate side of the insurance industry. We are looking for a hardworking, conscientious, and detail-oriented individual who can quickly learn how insurance products are prepared, filed, and approved by state regulators. Insurance experience is preferred but not necessary. More importantly, we are looking for a collaborative individual who will strive for excellence each day as an employee of AmTrust. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
  • Prepare and submit filings in high volume to state Departments of Insurance via an internet portal (SERFF). Data entry is a significant portion of this function
  • Accurately update multiple spreadsheets and status reports that are relied upon by the Compliance Team and other business units
  • Monitor the status of all filings, submitted to and pending, with state Departments of Insurance
  • Respond to state regulators' routine questions concerning our insurance products and pending filings
  • Occasionally assist analysts in researching insurance regulations, bulletins, or circulars
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers of our organization

    Position RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of experience in a commercial lines insurance environment and will have an understanding of the components that make up an insurance product. However, we will certainly consider administrative and customer service professionals without insurance experience who can demonstrate:
  • a truly exceptional work ethic
  • a willingness and ability to learn quickly
  • flawless accuracy
  • proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, and
  • the ability to juggle changing priorities effectively We are looking for the absolute right fit for our productive team. College degree preferred.
