Monitor, review and research the Unclaimed Property to ensure a satisfactory resolution in the attempt to get the owner of the Unclaimed Property their funds (e.g. internal company contacts, contact owner or agent by phone, email, search letter or the final due diligence letter) Ensure that the Unclaimed Property research is documented Responsible for the returned Unclaimed Property responses and the follow up with the Refund team to have the check re-issued Scan all appropriate documents to the appropriate location (e.g. Escheatment software system, policy information or possible the agent file, etc.)

DescriptionThe AmTrust Escheatments Department is looking for an Unclaimed Property Analyst to join our fast growing team in the research and resolution of Unclaimed Property in the Company's Escheatment program. The main purpose of the position is to review and research the unclaimed properties and reach out to the owner or agent and to ensure that all available attempts have been made to get the owner their unclaimed property prior to being escheated to the state. This team is a core factor in the business for the Company to meet and stay in compliance with all U.S. States. Job Responsibilities
3-5 years experiences in Accounting or Finance related functions with emphasis on Unclaimed Property preferred but not required Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in compliance and regulatory filings Experience in using an Unclaimed Property software system is helpful (e.g. Chesapeake, Tracker, Wings) Ability to work independently and in a team setting Ability to investigate and question why the Unclaimed Property is still open and monitor properties until there is a resolution Have a strong work ethic, highly motivated and work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work on several priorities at a given time Must have strong analytical, problem solving skills (both in verbal and written communication) Ability to take direction and constructive criticism, if needed, for the betterment of the company's Escheatment process Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel
