Our client, a well-established and innovative healthcare insurance provider, has an opportunity for an experienced Nurse (RN) Auditor. This position can be housed in various branch locations in the NW or you can work remotely as long as you are licensed in OR, WA, UT or ID.  You must be able to commute to an office in Portland or Tacoma or Salt Lake City or Boise for training and meetings.

This position will be responsible for conducting medical claim audits using your clinical expertise and knowledge in interpreting patient medical records/data, especially where fraud is suspected. The position will also involve research and writing letters to clients as needed. The ideal candidate would have 5+ years of experience in medical coding, clinical and appeals reviews and healthcare. Prior health insurance experience is a big plus.

Qualifications Include:

⦁        Bachelor's degree in a Healthcare related field
⦁        5+ years of experience in medical coding, clinical and appeals reviews and healthcare
⦁        RN License in WA, OR, UT or ID
⦁        CPC certification +
⦁        Auditing experience +
⦁        Familiarity with the health insurance industry is preferred
⦁       Computer savvy- MS Office
⦁       Strong oral and written skills.
