The Senior Financial Data Analyst works with the IT Finance team to plan, organize, and coordinate the development and implementation of financial operations, processes, policies and procedures in accordance with the company's policies and procedures. The primary function of this job is to aid in the financial, budgetary, and accounting operations for Corporate Technology Services (CTS).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in Finance or Accounting; or the combination of education, professional training, or work experience
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in financial analysis and reporting
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to perform financial analyses
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of or experience working within an IT organization
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Candidates should have advanced skills in Word, Excel, and Access
  • Capable of creating reports and able to present to management
  • Able to communicate effectively with internal clients, vendors, and company associates at all levels within the enterprise
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Able to work with minimal supervisions / resourceful
  • Team-oriented and skilled working within a collaborative environment
  • Experience with SAP general ledger and BPC preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret financial data and make recommendations to the AVP of CTS Financials
  • Analyze and manage statistical information; including budgets and fiscal operations
  • Front line response to resolve financial issues within the Corporate Technology Services department
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures
  • Maintain and reconcile internal orders for all projects
  • Monitor the operation of various expenditures
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities; billing, accruals, hardware and software chargebacks, and other journal entries
  • Report monthly actual results against budget and forecast; investigate and explain causes of variance
  • Recommend appropriate Cost Models
  • Responsible for IT Contract maintenance and renewals for the enterprise
  • Assists in the requirements, planning, and implementation of an enterprise Information Technology Financial Management (ITFM) system
  • Ensure CTS accounting policy is in agreement with corporate policy
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise
  • Prepares, reviews, and presents reports as requested
  • Maintain documentation on all procedures
