DescriptionThis position will have responsibilities relating to month end and quarterly closing for parent company consolidation that involve using oracle general ledger system in connection with quarterly public filings including 10-k and 10-q. This will also include:
  • Assisting Manager of Financial Reporting with Quarterly Filings for public company
  • Creating management reports for financial analysis:
  • Creating reports in Oracle and Essbase for financial analysis or reporting purposes
  • Responding to general inquiries regarding, accounting questions, information requests from other departments, auditors or finance department
  • Assist with streamline close process through oracle automation
  • Assist with general ledger procedures for new or acquired companies
  • Identifying and assisting in creating automated elimination entries Reconcile GL accounts as needes
  • In addition, this position will provide support to other areas of the business as needs arise.

    Position Requirements

    QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required: 2-4 years of experience as an auditor or with corporate reporting
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance from a accredited college/university
  • Experience working with Oracle and Essbase
  • Experience working in or with a publicly-traded company preferred
  • Experience working in insurance industry preferred
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of the corporate structure
  • Self-motivated team player with the proven ability to work independently and prioritize and handle numerous competing demands in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment, frequently under urgent deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly
  • Ability to multi-task
