DescriptionThe AmTrust Escheatments Department is looking for an Escheatments Supervisor to join our fast growing team in the research and resolution of Unclaimed Property in the Company's Escheatment program. The main purpose of the position is to ensure that the Escheatment Team has done the appropriate review and research of the Unclaimed Property, in addition to verifying that the Escheatment Analysts have made all available attempts to contact the party of the Unclaimed Property prior to any escheatment to the state. This team is a core factor in the business for the company to meet and stay in compliance with all U.S. States. Job responsibilities
  • Review the monthly outstanding checks on various bank accounts assigned to the Cleveland Escheatment team that need follow up
  • Monitor, review and assign the Unclaimed Property to an Escheatment Analyst to ensure a satisfactory resolution in attempting to get the owner of the Unclaimed Property (e.g. internal company contacts, contact owner or agent by phone, email, search letter or the final due diligence letter)
  • Ensure that the Unclaimed Property is properly documented from the research
  • Ensure all Unclaimed Property is in compliance with the due diligence and escheatment processes
  • Ensure that all regulatory filings are made in compliance with each states requirements
  • Ensure that all appropriate documents are scanned to the appropriate location (e.g. Escheatment software system, policy information or possible the agent file, etc.) #li-post

    Position Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Unclaimed Property/Escheatment
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years Supervisor or Management experiences in Accounting or Finance related functions
  • Experience in compliance and regulatory filings
  • Experience in using an Unclaimed Property software system is helpful (e.g. Chesapeake, Tracker, Wings)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Ability to investigate and question why the Unclaimed Property is still open until there is a resolution
  • Have a strong work ethic, highly motivated, work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work on several priorities at any given time
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills (both in verbal and written communication)
  • Ability to take direction and constructive criticism, if needed, for the betterment of the company's Escheatment process.
  • Must have substantial knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel
