GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Sales Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Sales and Account Management team, as well as maintaining client information within our various systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Focus primarily will be the administrative functions associated with the Sales Team.
• Provide assistance to Sales VP on reoccurring management reports
• Update and maintain monthly pipeline reports from account executive sales activities
• Maintain client instructions and billing rate tables, with the input from the account executives
• Provide assistance on RFPs as needed
• Provide assistance to account management in terms of monthly reporting needs for clients and/or account executives
• Maintain national tradeshow schedule database, as well as providing registration for the team, shipping of materials and other associated duties
• Provide assistance to Bid Management, on local market to secure account nominations from brokers, risk managers and carriers.
• Work closely with other Administrative Support team members on shared duties
• Provide assistance in the maintenance and updating of the CRM system
• Work with Account Management on current account growth opportunities
• Work with Sales/AM team to understand client needs and requirements to create customized reports and other documents to fulfill their needs
• Manage sales input into CL CRM tracking RFP's, RFI's, YTD performance, contact information, call notes, etc.
• A comprehensive understanding of P&C insurance industry, particularly the claims process.
• Excellent relationship building skills.
• Knowledge of current industry trends and legislative climate within IA industry is preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma (some college preferred)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously
• Good Organizational Skills
• Ability to Work Independently

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

COMPUTER SKILLS

• Advanced skills to include proficiency within the Microsoft suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc)
