Back in 1979, Jack Bredehorn opened the doors of VPA on July 23rd in Tarzana, California. Beginning with only three employees, VPA quickly outgrew its Tarzana location and moved to its current headquarters in Calabasas in 1985. Two moves later, VPA is still headquartered in Calabasas, in the heart of the city center.

VPA's commitment has been to administrative excellence, strong fiscal management, and employee development. This commitment allowed us to rise from a small employee benefits company that showed employers how to self-insure their California state disability Insurance benefits to the largest national independent Disability benefits TPA.

Our clients are headquartered in all areas of the country. VPA offers an entire range of integrated absence and disability services, including FMLA tracking / reporting and sick pay, short-term, long-term, and statutory disability plan administration.

Twenty years has taught us how to listen to our customers and how to build benefit solutions that really work. As we continue to grow, VPA is committed to continuously improving our services to meet the needs of our clients.
